My fiancee and I are planning a trip to Orlando Florida in mid February of 2008, can anyone please give me a heads up on what the weather is like that time of year? What type of clothing should we take, shoe wear? Is it cold, chilly, warm, rainy? Any info would be appreciated. Its our first time out there and we really want to enjoy it to the fullest. Thanks in advance!
Depends on the year, but it’s generally pleasant with a few cold days (40s and 50s) and a few really cold days (30s). The cold tends to stay for only a day or two and when it warms up completely, it gets to mid to upper 60s and sometimes even the 70s. While it’s too cold for much of us Floridians, most of the northerners that come down find it to be very enjoyable.
I am planning a trip to Universal Orlando this summer and would like to know which hotel of the three on-site is the best. Also, some sites that compare would be appreciated.

I recommend the hard rock hotel. portofino bay is nice but nothing beats hard rock. it’s right there. It’s the closest and it’s so cool
I am going to Orlando Florida (first time) and I am a plus size girl (size 24/26) 5’3" We are planning on going to Disney World, Seaworld, Busch Gardens, and aquatica. I am worried I won’t be able to fit on the rides, and would be really embarassed if I tried and failed. Does any one know what rides are plus size friendly? And/or which ones I should avoid.

My significant other is plus size, so she also has this same problem, and we have found out the hard way that some parks (like Cedar Point) have no interest in accommodating larger folks on their rides.
Luckily, this is not the case with the parks in Florida. She was able to ride all of the big roller coasters at the Busch parks (Busch Gardens and SeaWorld), via one special seat in the middle of each train that is designed to allow bigger people to ride. She was able to ride every ride at Universal and Disney, as well, without the need for a special seat at those parks.

Could anyone suggest the most suitable 7 orlando attractions to visit with my 5 year old girl?
The four Disney parks would be the best for that age – Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. You could easily spend a week just at these. Disney also has two outstanding water parks if you like those, and there are numerous other activities on property.
The other major Orlando attractions are Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, Sea World, and the associated water parks Wet n Wild and Aquatica.
